Who we are

The Resourcing Racial Justice fund is a coalition of people of colour (POC) innovators, change makers, activists, artists and social leaders dedicated to social change. Together, we have established a new UK wide-funding pool to support individuals and communities working towards racial justice.

Farzana Khan

Farzana is a writer, director, cultural producer and award-winning arts educator. She is the Executive Director and Co-founder of Healing Justice London (HJL) Her practice works on building community health, repair and self-transformation rooted in disability justice, survivor work and trauma-informed practice working with communities of colour and other marginalised and underrepresented groups. Farzana has over 10 years of background in Youth and Community work particularly focused on arts-based education projects both in the UK and internationally. Farzana is the former creative and strategic director at Voices that Shake, bringing together young people, artists and campaigners to develop creative responses to social injustice. She ran this working at Platform London, a climate and social justice organisation working across arts, education, research and activism. She currently is a lead strategist on Climate and Resource justice with Thirty Percy Foundation

Farzana is a Fellow at the International Curatorial Forum. Farzana's recent curatorial practice/art includes launching the Black Cultural Black Activism Map with the Stuart Hall Foundation and All Water Has Perfect Memory, writing on climate and gender justice and generational trauma & memory.

Nusrat Faizullah

Nusrat works with emerging and established organisations to support them to understand and tackle social issues and systemic injustice. Her work is concerned with: understanding and disrupting power; creating a more identity informed system; and nurturing leadership. She currently works with and advises many grantmakers including the National Lottery Community Fund, Esmee Fairbairn, Nike Sports for Good and Help Refugees. She also works with organisations across many areas including health, criminal justice, homelessness, LGBTQI+ rights, refugees and forced migration, and education. She is a founding member of Future Foundations UK and a trustee of climate justice charity Platform.

Selina Nwulu

Selina is both an independent consultant and writer with a commitment to social and climate justice. She has worked extensively in the not for profit sector as a strategist, educationalist and social researcher. As such, she has worked for a number of civic organisations including the Equality and Human Rights Commission, the RSA and most recently as Director of Education at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights UK. She now works with a number of organisations in an independent and creative capacity.

She has written for a number of outlets such as the Guardian, New Humanist and Red Pepper and has toured her poetry extensively, both internationally and throughout the UK in a number of cultural institutions such as Somerset House, BBC Radio 4 and Southbank Centre. She was Young Poet Laureate for London 2015-6 and her first collection, The Secrets I Let Slip was published is a Poetry Book Society recommendation. Her work was recently published in the critically acclaimed anthology New Daughters of Africa and she was shortlisted for the Brunel International African Poetry Prize 2019.
Guppi Bola

Guppi is a consultant strategist focussed on building an economic democracy. She has an academic background in public health, which she uses to focus her strategic thinking on the root causes of social inequality and ill health. Guppi applies this expertise to design intersectional policy and campaigns that will help move us towards a just transition, working alongside social justice leadership globally.

She is a co-founder of Working On Our Power, trainer with Decolonising Economics, an organiser with Wretched of the Earth and recently completed a stint as the Interim Director of Medact - her dream job! Guppi secretly wants to sack it all in, move to the hills in India and become a potter. She continues to dream.

Imandeep Kaur

Immy is co - founder and director of CIVIC SQUARE based in Birmingham, UK, which is taking a bold approach to building and investing in regenerative neighbourhoods of the future. Immy is a member of collaborative studio 00, and strategic discovery, development and design lab Dark Matter Laboratories.

Prior CIVIC SQUARE, Immy was founding director of Impact Hub Birmingham and curator of TEDxBrum. Immy is passionate about building fairer, equitable and regenerative neighbourhoods.

Tatiana Garavito

Tatiana is an organiser and facilitator with over ten years' experience of working on issues around race, migration and climate justice. She has led strategy development processes for social justice organisations, facilitated work exploring liberation, and delivered training on movement building across the UK and in Europe.

Tatiana has worked with Quakers In Britain, HOPE not Hate, Migrants Rights Network and Latin American Women's Rights Service, amongst others. She is also a long-standing grassroots activist - co-founding London Latinx and Wretched of the Earth, groups she is still heavily involved in.

Outside of her work, she is passionate about lino-cutting, cooking and dancing.
